Medical Ethics in Cross-Cultural Perspective:
Scandinavia and North America

Current Issues of Medical Ethics Discussed by Scandinavian and American Researchers, Scholars, Medical Practitioners, Authors, and Social Commentators

The symposium is part of a three-year series of events across the northwestern United States and Canada that is intended to highlight the cultural intersections and differences between Scandinavia and North America. Oregon was selected for the medical ethics symposium because of our state's unique stance on such issues as physician-assisted suicide, medical marijuana usage, and the Oregon Health Plan.
